Translational BioSystems Interface Laboratory

The mission of the Translational BioSystems Interface Laboratory is to overcome sensory loss in the hearing and balance systems through novel neural interface technologies and computational approaches. The lab also focuses on imaging research through a strong partnership with Emory Department Radiology and Imaging Sciences. Machine intelligence is applied to improve diagnostic quality of computed tomography images of heart vessels used in the diagnosis and management cardiovascular disease. Also in radiology, the lab has co-developed an innovative patient identification system and methods to accelerate throughput in the radiology patient workflow.
